B. Answer the following questions :- (Marks-6)

1. ** " Here comes someone running , " ---- Who is the speaker ? Who came running ? What happened to him next ? )

 Or , How did the Tsar nurse the wounded man ?

Ans : - The hermit is the speaker here in the short story Three Questions.

A bearded man came running out of the wood. The man held his hand pressed against his stomach, and blood was flowing from under them.

When the bearded man came in front of the Tsar , he saw that the man was severely wounded . With the help of the hermit , the Tsar unfastened his clothes . He saw a big wound in the stomach of the man from which blood was gushing out . Tsar quickly bandaged the wound with his own handkerchief and the hermit's towel . When the bandage was soaked in blood , he rebandages it several times . When the blood stopped flowing the man revived . The Tsar gave him fresh water and with the hermit's help carried him to a bed inside the room .

 2. *  " You are tired . " ---- Who said this and to Whom ? What made the person tired ? What did the speaker do for him ?

Ans : - The Tsar said this to the wise hermit in the short story 'Three Questions'.

When the Tsar came to the hermit , he found him digging the ground in front of his hut and he looked very tired . He was old , very weak and frail too . For every time he stuck his spade into the ground , he breathed heavily .

Being Kind hearted , the Tsar went to the old hermit. He requested him to leave the work and offered himself to do the job on his behalf . The hermit thanked to the Tsar and sat down on the ground . Then the Tsar began to dig the land. Before repeated his questions he had dug two beds for the hermit.

3. ***  What were the questions that had occurred to the Tsar ? Why did he need correct answers to this questions ? What did he do when he was not satisfied the answers of the learned men ?

Ans :  In Leo Tolstoy's short story 'Three Questions ' The Tsar had three questions .

His first question was 'What was the right time to begin an action'.

His second question was ' Who were the right people to listen to and Whom to avoid'.

His third question was 'What was the most important thing to do'.

If the Tsar  gained these answers he would never fail in anything he might undertake.

But all the answers of the learned men were different and the Tsar did not agree with anyone of them.  When he was not satisfied with the answers of learned men , he decided to meet with a hermit who lived in the wood and well known for his wisdom .

4.***  " You have already been answered. " --- Who said this to Whom? How were the questions answered? )

Ans:- The hermit said this to the Tsar in the short story Three Questions.

The hermit said this to the Tsar when the Tsar begged answers to his questions for the last time before going away.

The hermit gave the answers to the Tsar practically. According to him, the most important time is now or present. The most important person is the man with whom you are now and the most important affair is, to do him good.

For example, when the Tsar came to the hermit and being kind hearted he dug two beds for him. According to the hermit  this time was most important and he was the most important man and digging bed for him was the most important work. Because for that his enemy could not able to attack him. When the bearded man came running from the wood, the Tsar bandaged his wound and save his life. Here the wounded man was the most important man and this time was the most important time, nursing him was the most important action.
