WATER CYCLE(জল চক্র ) 

Like many other natural cycles water cycle is one of the natures most common cycles. When the sunlight(সূর্যরশ্মি ) falls on water bodies, water is evaporated (বাস্পিভূত হওয়া) . Then the vapour (বাস্প) rises upward in the sky. As it gets up, the vapour gets heavier. After that it is condensed (ঘনিভূত ) to form the cloud(মেঘ) . In course of time the cloud falls back to earth as rain and gets mixed with water again.

COMPUTER

Computer is a miracle (অলৌকিক) of modern science. Charles Babbage is called the Father of modern computer. A computer can work very fast: It has many benefits. It minimises (হ্রাস করে) time, speeds up work, saves labour and reduces (কমায়) costs. Nowadays computer has become an indispensable (অপরিহার্য অংশ) part of modern civilization (সভ্যতা). It is used in educational institutions, industries, research laboratories, Government departments, offices, hospitals and so on. It has taken an important role in space research (মহাকাশ গবেষণায়). In a word, computers have almost replaced human brains. In India also computers are gradually being introduced in different fields of activity.

My Area  at Dawn

I live in a small village named Jatigara , under Cooch Behar district.  At dawn our locality looks very beautiful. The sky is slightly yellow in colour at sunrise. My locality becomes very nice when the first sunlight falls on the green field. This time is totally noise and pollution free because no human activity starts during this moment. The nature is calm and peaceful and different colourful birds begin to sing. The atmosphere is filled with the song of birds. It is an enjoyable moment as one can feel the cool weather and can see the dew drops on the grass. 

MY AIM IN LIFE

Every man has an aim in life. An aimless (লক্ষ্যহীন) life is like a rudderless (দাঁড়বিহীন) ship. I want to be a teacher. It is a noble profession (মহৎ পেশা). The teachers are the backbone (মেরুদন্ড) of the society (সমাজ). He not only provides (প্রদান করা) knowledge (জ্ঞান) to them but also teaches them to know the right and the wrong. He is actually a friend, philosopher (দার্শনিক) and guide (পথপ্রদর্শক) to the students. Only ideal teachers can build an ideal (আদর্শ) nation. A teacher is always respected (সম্মানিত হওয়া) by all. But for that I have to work hard (কঠোর). If I can achieve (সফলতা অর্জন) my dream, I shall try to set examples (উদাহরন) before my students.

SCIENCE IN DAILY LIFE

Modern (আধুনিক) age is the age of science. We depend (নির্ভরকরা) on science in every steps our life. Our day starts with a cup of tea or coffee, and it is science that provides (প্রদান করা) us with this drink. The newspaper, which fulfils (সম্পূর্ন করা) our hunger (ক্ষুধা) for information (তথ্য), is the product of science. Electric lights and fans, cookers (চুল্লি), refrigerators (রেফ্রিজারেটর), air-conditioners (এয়ার-কন্ডিশনার), telephones, televisions and many other things make our life comfortable (আরামদায়ক). Nowadays we cannot think of our daily life without the use of computer. Computers are widely (ব্যাপকভাবে) used in banks, offices and shopping malls.. Though science makes our life comfortable (আরামদায়ক), we have to be careful about the misuse (অপব্যবহার) of science.

MOBILE PHONE

Mobile phone is one of the greatest (মহৎ) invention (আবিস্কার) of the science. The mobile phone has changed the whole communication (যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা ) system. Letter posting (চিঠি পাঠানো) is now history. Telegraph / Telegram is now died. The mobile phone is the best medium (মাধ্যম) of communication. This is also in almost all hands, from a business man to a young school girl. Beside the communication a mobile phone is using as a camera, MP3/ MP4 player, phone book, calculater, clock, calender, torch, internet browser and so on. There can be no denial of the necessity (প্রয়োজন) of the cell phone. But all is not gold here. A few selfish (স্বার্থপর) persons and criminals (অপরাধী) are using the mobile phone to fulfil their target. So, proper caution (সাবধানতা) is needed (প্রয়োজন) in the use of Mobile phone.

FLOOD BROKE OUT IN MIDNAPORE

MIDNAPORE, July 15, 2024: Wide areas of Pingla Subdivision in Midnapore district have been damaged  in a flood that has broken out after a heavy rainfall in the last week. The water of Kalindi river has overflown its bank and submerged the nearby villages. Many trees have been uprooted and crops in the field have been damaged. According to sources two persons were dead and numerous cattles have been washed away. The state Government has started the rescue operation. Camps have been set up for the rescued families and food, water, medicine are being supplied free of cost by the district administration.

FIVE KILLED IN BOAT CAPSIZAL

Sitai, July 20, 2024: A country boat carrying more than fifty passengers sank in the Singimari river near Sagardighi Ghat yesterday at around 4 p.m. According to sources the boat was carrying passengers much beyond its capcity including two cows. During the high tide the boat sank under the waves. Among the drowned passengers twenty persons swam to safety.Five persons  including two children were died. The Government has declared a compensation of Rs. 5 lacs for the family of each of the dead  persons.
